We recently had a half mission conference with Elder Tiexeria of the seventy. He instructed the missionaries on a variety of subjects: ranging from companionship differences, working with the ward, and finding new investigaters. He was a great inspiration to the entire mission.
Elder Jose Teixeira was born on 24 Feb.1961 and has been a
member of the First Quorum of the Seventy of the church since April 2008. He is the first Portuguese general authority in church history.
As a young man he served as a missionary in the Portugal Lisbon Mission. He has been a stake president, an area authority seventy, and mission president of the Brazil Sano Paulo South Mission, before being called into the first quorum of the Seventy. Elder Teixeira and his wife Maria are the parents of three children.
